For an existing Stanislaus County criminal case, form CR-02 is the court’s Case Calendar Request. Completing and submitting it does not itself set a hearing or recall a warrant. A judge may grant or deny the request; confirm the authorization and the actual date, department, and time, and keep following any existing court order unless the court changes it. (Stanislaus County criminal forms; CR-02)
Complete the request for the event you need
Use the current CR-02 listed on the court’s criminal forms page. It asks for case information, the charge, whether another hearing is set (or “N/A”), any prior request and failure-to-appear history, the calendar event requested, and the reason. The listed event options include requests such as warrant recall, probation modification, drug court, a failure-to-appear matter, a surrender date, or another specified event. Choose the request that matches the existing case issue and explain the relevant facts clearly. (Stanislaus County criminal forms; CR-02)
CR-02 says the authorization must reach the clerk at least four court days before the calendar date. Unless the judge orders otherwise, a later submission moves the hearing to the next available date under the form’s instructions. This is a request for judicial authorization, not a guaranteed reservation. The form allows the judge to grant or deny it and identifies the resulting date, department, and time if granted. Confirm receipt and authorization with the court rather than assuming a submitted request is on calendar. (CR-02)
Give notice and keep track of the court’s decision
The form directs the requester to notify the defendant, counsel, District Attorney, or probation department as applicable once an appearance or calendar date and time are set. Keep a copy of the completed request, proof or confirmation of submission, any judge’s decision, and any notice sent. Verify the actual case calendar through the court record; the court’s criminal information page notes that court staff cannot give legal advice. (CR-02; Stanislaus County Criminal Division)
CR-02 is not a continuance request. The court lists a separate CR-003 criminal continuance form, and Penal Code § 1050 governs continuances. Nor does checking “recall warrant” on CR-02 itself recall an outstanding warrant. Until the court grants the request and enters an order, keep complying with existing appearance and warrant requirements and ask counsel how to handle them. (Stanislaus County criminal forms; Penal Code § 1050)
